Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, usually muted-yellow in colour, similar to gold but duller.
How do you handle your brass recyclables?
As brass is commonly found in plumbing fittings and musical instruments, ensure that the brass is free from copper, iron, and other recycling contamination. As copper fetches a higher value as compared to brass, separate your copper pipings from your brass plumbing fittings, to get the most of your recyclables.
Your sorting efforts would help to reduce contamination and the amount of resources used!
